Synopsis

Erika and Mauro live a simple life in the countryside, their days made up of comforting routines and little gestures. When their daughter Irene leaves to study far from home, their house feels empty, and the equilibrium on which the couple has based their lives seems to crumble. Erika, who has always filled her days caring for others, suddenly finds herself adrift. Mauro, who grew up under the emotional tyranny of an authoritarian father, tries to cope by filling the void in his own way, but ends up having to confront a fragility he has never acknowledged. In the suspended time that follows, long-buried wounds and forgotten desires resurface. And this profound, intimate crisis will push them to really look at one another and understand if and how they can transform themselves and, consequently, their love.
