Synopsis

Laura, a secondary-school teacher in Turin, agrees to go out with Andrea, a highly thought-of and charming surgeon, as well as the father of one of her pupils. The evening passes pleasantly, the two of them get on and are attracted to each other. It would seem like the perfect date… But the next day, while Andrea confides in a friend that he hopes to see her again soon, Laura tells police he raped her. What really happened that night? These is no evidence, only her word against his. What secrets do the two of them conceal in their pasts? This is the challenge the police face amidst prejudices, lies and twists in the tale.
