Synopsis

On the 8th of July 2000, during the Giubilee, in Rome the World Gay Pride is held, one of the biggest gay gatherings ever seen in Rome. A.D.000 photographs the days of tension experienced by a city that is about to be invaded by millions of gays lesbians, transgenders, bisexuals from all over the world. It is a film on the political, religious, social crisis that this event has determined, starting from Rome and becoming a national and international “case”. But it is also the occasion to meet who has participated as a main player in that event, to learn the more private sides of people involved in the front row every day in the defence of homosexual rights: Imma Battaglia, president of the “Circolo di Cultura Omosessuale” Mario Mieli, Saverio Aversa, radio speaker of ”Radio Città Futura”, Patrick King and Johan Silverhult, dancers, life companions and married in  Sweden in 1997, Renata Evans,  brasilian trans, actress and ever present on the roman night scene, Fausto Perozzi, architect, member of the “Rete Evangelica Fede e Omosessualità”, Bernardo Vitteritti, part of “Rinnovamento Carismatico Cattolico” and like Fausto he takes care of problems connected to homosexuality and religious faith.
